Global Health के लिए एक ऐतिहासिक दिन है! World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day पर, पूरी दुनिया ने cervical cancer को खत्म करने के लिए Bold Actions लेना शुरू कर दिया है। सबसे बड़ी और Positive News Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance, और उसके partnres की तरफ से आई है। उन्होंने अनुमान लगाया है कि 2025 के अंत तक 86 मिलियन लड़कियों तक पहुँचने का उनका Ambitious Goal पूरा हो गया है! यह सिर्फ़ एक आंकड़ा नहीं है, बल्कि दुनिया भर में Vaccination, Screening और Treatment को बढ़ाने के लिए countries द्वारा किए जा रहे बड़े प्रयासों का एक clear signal है।

यह momentum दिखाता है कि WHO की 90-70-90 targets (90% girls को HPV Vaccine, 70% महिलाओं को Screening, और 90% मरीज़ों को Treatment) को 2030 तक हासिल करना अब एक Achievable Reality है। कई देशों ने इस दिन को mark करने के लिए Multiple Fronts पर Actions लिए हैं। Sierra Leone और Liberia जैसे देशों में 1.5 मिलियन से ज़्यादा लड़कियों को target करते हुए mass vaccination campaigns चलाए जा रहे हैं। Sierra Leone ने तो सभी 16 districts में बड़े पैमाने पर screening campaign की planning की है, जिसके बाद awareness walk भी होगी। Malaysia में, Survivors खुद Advocacy कर रहे हैं, जो self-sampling HPV testing को बढ़ावा दे रहे हैं—यह innovation screening access को बढ़ाने की Key Innovation है।

पिछले एक साल में Country-level Action में जबरदस्त तेजी आई है, जिसने इस नए annual commemoration के लिए एक मज़बूत foundation तैयार की है। Angola और Cuba ने October में HPV vaccination campaigns launch किए, जबकि China ने 13 साल की लड़कियों के लिए HPV vaccine को अपने National Immunization Programme में add कर लिया है। Ghana ने भी October 2025 में 9-14 साल की लड़कियों के लिए nationwide vaccination campaign चलाया, जिसका target 2.4 मिलियन लड़कियों तक पहुँचना है।

Asian Giants भी पीछे नहीं हैं। Indonesia ने Second Global Forum for Cervical Cancer Elimination की मेजबानी की और 2030 तक Cervical Cancer को खत्म करने के लिए अपने Bold National Targets (90-75-90) को confirm किया। Pakistan ने तो 9 मिलियन से ज़्यादा लड़कियों को target करते हुए, अब तक का सबसे बड़ा single HPV campaign launch किया है। Nepal ने February 2025 में 10-14 साल की लड़कियों को target करते हुए HPV vaccine को National Immunization Schedule में introduce किया। यह Massive Scale-up दिखाता है कि countries अब सिर्फ बात नहीं कर रही हैं, बल्कि Solid Investments कर रही हैं।

Africa में Rwanda अपने 'Mission 2027' (Accelerated Plan for Elimination) के ज़रिए Global Goal से तीन साल पहले ही 90-70-90 targets को पूरा करने के लिए nationwide screening और treatment services को तेज़ी से बढ़ा रहा है। Nigeria ने भी First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu के 'Renewed Hope Initiative' के तहत US$ 700,000 commit किए हैं, जो Cervical Cancer Elimination के लिए उनकी Strong Leadership को दिखाता है। South Africa ने तो G20 health agenda के तहत इस मुद्दे को Global Stage पर रखा और World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day स्थापित करने में co-lead की भूमिका निभाई। Spain भी AECID के ज़रिए WHO Cervical Cancer Elimination Initiative को support कर रहा है।

Conclusion यह है कि Global Efforts अब एक crucial phase में पहुँच चुके हैं। Unitaid और WHO ने Western Pacific Region में भी अपनी partnership को expand किया है ताकि precancer के लिए screening और treatment services तक equitable access सुनिश्चित हो सके। Cervical Cancer, जो एक Preventable Disease है, उसे Public Health Threat की list से जल्द ही हटाया जा सकता है, बशर्ते यह Political Commitment और Financial Investment इसी तरह जारी रहे। Cervical Cancer Elimination अब एक दूर का सपना नहीं, बल्कि एक Near-Term Reality बनता जा रहा है।
